This draught of the North Pole is to shew all the countries near and adjacent to it, as also the most remarkable tracks of the bold discoverers of them, and particularly the attempts of our own countrymen to find out the N.East and N.West passages Moll, Herman, -1732
Description
Engraved, hand-coloured print. Depicts the arctic regions and North Pole and surrounding known areas. Of note are the insets, one which includes "Nova Zembia" (today Novaya Zemlya). The larger map depicts this correctly as an island, but the inset describes a possibility of it as a peninsula with a disclaimer written by Moll. The second inset contains a depiction of California as an island. Upper left corner reads "Voll. 1 Page 564."
